Privacy Policy
This policy describes the data handling of the English DeltaPatcher.net website as currently implemented.
Scope
This policy applies to visits to DeltaPatcher.net. It does not govern the Delta Patcher desktop application, GitHub, the project repository, or other websites reached through external links.
Information you provide
The website does not currently provide accounts, forms, comments, or a direct contact submission. It therefore does not ask you to send personal information through the site.
Hosting and server logs
The hosting provider may process routine technical logs needed to deliver and protect the website. These logs can include an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device information, referring page, and diagnostic or security data. Retention and access are controlled by the hosting environment and its configuration.
Analytics and advertising
The website uses Google Analytics with measurement ID G-STPDJMJGMW to understand page visits, navigation, approximate location, and browser or device characteristics. Google Analytics may use first-party measurement cookies such as _ga and processes data under Google’s own terms and privacy practices.
No advertising service or ad placement is active on the website. Browser privacy controls can limit cookies and other routine measurement data.
Browser-based patching
Files selected in Xdelta Patcher Online are processed locally by your browser and are not uploaded for patching. The browser may use temporary on-device storage while an operation runs and until you save or discard its result.
The site may send anonymous operational events to Google Analytics when patching starts and finishes. These can include success, failure or cancellation, a stable failure category, duration, file extensions, coarse size ranges, ZIP use, locale, and whether a selected file is over 1 GB. Filenames, output names, file contents, local paths, and technical error details are never included. Analytics failure never blocks patching.
External GitHub links
Download buttons and project links take you to GitHub-hosted assets or pages. GitHub processes those requests under its own terms and privacy practices. DeltaPatcher.net does not receive the contents of your GitHub account or the files you choose on GitHub.
Retention and choices
The website does not collect form submissions or maintain user accounts. Browser privacy controls may limit cookies or other routine request information. Google controls the retention and deletion settings for data processed in the Analytics property.
Children’s privacy
The website is general software documentation and is not designed to collect information from children. It does not knowingly request personal information from visitors of any age.
Policy changes
This page will be revised when the site’s data practices change, with a new effective date shown above. Review it again if advertising, contact forms, or other data-handling features are introduced.
